Rematch vs. Stratford had Danika Voros on the board early in
the first period. Charlie Weesjees proved any shot on net is a good shot as she
grabbed the 2nd Mitchell goal on a far shot from centre ice, only to
have Stratford respond quickly on a similar shot.
Second Period saw many opportunities for the Meteors but the Stratford netminder wasn’t budging, keeping Stratford within a goals reach at the and of the second.
Mitchell opened the floodgates with 6 minutes remaining in the third period. Three goals were scored, one each from Voros, Kinslee Horan and Caley Michels. To close out he game with a 5-1 victory.
Oct 16 had the U11 girls hosting the Woodstock Wildcats. The Meteors applied lots of pressure on Woodstock in the first. Netminder Danika Voros made a few acrobatic saves to keep the scoreboard blank at the end of the first period.
Martyna Hartwig showed persistence pays in front off in front of the net as she recorded what would be the lone goal of the game. Lots of great chances for the Meteors throughout the game. The defensive squad of Callie VanLoon, Charlie Weesjees, Casey Crowley and Kinslee Horan did a great job of trying to keep the Wildcats out of scoring range and securing the 1-0 win
