Ace Garden centre U11 Meteor Girls Represent Hometown Well at Provincial Tournament.
After a hard fought 3-1 loss to the eventual Tournament champion Ilderton Jets in game one, the girls took the Ice for game two early Saturday Morning against Saugeen Storm.

The Storm were hungry for a win, but the Meteor girls did their best to fend them off. The girls had a few chances at some goals but not enough to get one past the Storm goaltender in the 4-0 loss.

Knowing that the semi-finals were out of reach, the girls went into the third game looking to upset a strong Kemptville team and hoped to grab a win. After The first period was over, it was apparent that The Meteors would have their work cut out for them. They were only down by one goal, but their opponent kept pressing hard. The Meteors were forced to play mostly defensive, so getting chances for goals were few and far between in the eventual 5-0 loss.

Despite the losses, the girls were in a tough pool to begin with Including the Gold and Silver winners. The parents and coaches were proud of their efforts despite the losses. We’re equally as proud of how they carried themselves off the ice as well, exhibiting respect and courtesy for fellow competitors and hotel guests.

A Special Thank you to Randy, Dani, Brooke, and Cori for your time, efforts and knowledge given to our girls in a fun and productive season. Also a Special thanks to team Sponsor Ace Garden Centre. Your commitment to minor hockey is greatly appreciated.
