After a few weeks off, the U11 girls came out
strong against the South Huron Sabres.
Amelia Wolfkamp opened the scoring for the Meteors in the first period with a fantastic breakaway past the Sabres defence.
A good powerplay opportunity was presented in the second period with the Meteors having some good chances but were unable to capitalize. Shortly after Dani Vosper would put one in off a pass from Danica Voros.
Kinslee Horan opened scoring in the third with her signature wrist shot from the blueline. Two more goals rounded out the scoring in the third period, both from Caley Michels, and both assisted by Martyna Hartwig. Goaltender Ally VanBakel made some clutch saves late in the game to mark the 5-0 shutout victory for the Meteors.
