Ace Garden Centre U11 Girls advance to Semifinals
After winning all four games so far, the Mitchell Meteor U11 girls advance to Semi-final game play during the Pink on the Rink Tournament.

3rd game vs South Huron had the Meteors sending 40 shots on net. The girls were able to get five goals past the busy Sabres netminder to win the game 5-0. Goals from the game came from Kinslee Horan assisted by Danica Voros, Caley Michels on a rebound from Voros. Sophia VanNes drew a large cheer from the crowd as she popped one in the top corner off a rebound from Michels and Horan. Leah Sills from Michels. The last goal of the game came unassisted from Voros. VanNes was named player of the game.

Game 4 had the first period almost wrapped up until a penalty by the Sabres put the Meteors on a powerplay for the remaining minute of the first. The powerplay continued over to the second period but the girls were unable to capitalize. The first goal of the game came from a Voros breakaway. Martyna Hartwig potted the Meteors' second goal with the assist going to Michels who was awarded player of the game. The Meteors found themselves shorthanded, but that didn't phaze Emma "hot hands" Upshall, who capitalized off of Horans puck launch from the blueline. The girls skated away with the 3-0 victory and earning a berth in the Semi-final game early Sunday morning. Goalie Ally VanBakel captured her second shutout of the day and her fourth shutout of the tournament. Helper credits from Ella Sills, Horan, Casey Crowley, Charlee Weesjes, and Callie VanLoon.
