Peewee Meteor Reps Record Pair Of Wins
The Hoegy's Farm Supply Meteor Peewee Reps earned two close wins this past weekend, edging South Bruce 4-3 on Oct 18th, followed by beating the visiting Walkerton Capitals on Oct 20th by a score of 3-2.
In Mildmay on Friday night, Jacob Dietrich scored two goals to pace the attack as the Meteors overcame a 3-1 deficit in the third with three unanswered goals. With Dietrich's first marker of the game the only Mitchell goal over the first two periods, Nick Wagner scored unassisted and Dietrich added his second from Ethan Jarmuth and Lucas Mahon within two minutes early in the third to even the score. Jack Van Loon would score the winning goal with just over two minutes remaining, assisted by Hayden Nicholson and Jack Miller.
Back home on Sunday evening to host the Walkerton Capitals, the Meteors again found themselves down 2-0 midway through the middle period before scoring two quick goals in the final 90 seconds to tie the the game. Wagner struck first unassisted, and one minute later Mahon's shot from the point made it through traffic into the corner of the net, from Jarmuth. Wagner's second of the game midway through the final period from Miller and Charlie Geiger would prove to be the game-winner.
