Peewees Win Two, Take Series Lead vs Saugeen Shores
After dropping the opening game of their OMHA Peewee 'B' quarter-final series vs Saugeen Shores, the Hoegy's Farm Supply Meteor Peewee Reps notched two wins on the weekend to take a 2-1 series lead.

Hosting the visiting Storm on Feb 15th in Mitchell, the locals fell behind 1-0 in the opening minute.  Less than two minutes later, Ethan Jarmuth connected from Hayden Nicholson to tie the game.  Saugeen would repeat things in the second period, scoring again in the opening minute to regain the lead.  The teams would play scoreless hockey for the remainder of the second, and the Meteors would also begin the third shorthanded for another 80 seconds.  Nicholson scored the tying goal midway through the final frame on a solo rush set up by goaltender Joel Meinen, and Jacob Dietrich would score the game winner banging in a rebound assisted by Jarmuth and Kellen Russwurm.
The Meteors made their second consecutive Sunday trip to Port Elgin for Game 3, and came out firing on all cylinders with a convincing 6-1 victory.  Brayden Hoegy and Nick Wagner led the well-balanced attack with two points each (1G 1A), and all but three players on the roster registered at least one point.  Goaltender Meinen made several key saves late in the second when the Storm pressed hard.
The teams square off in Game 4 of the six-point series on Tues Feb 18th at 7pm in Mitchell.
