Meteors Drop 5-2 Decision To Visiting Kinucks
The Hoegy's Farm Supply Meteor Peewee Reps hosted the Kincardine Kinucks on Oct 12th in Monkton, with the visitors returning home with a 5-2 win.
After a scoreless first, Kincardine jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead with two goals in under two minutes early in the second period. Kellen Russwurm got the locals on the board minutes later with an unassisted solo rushing effort, but Kincardine would regain the two goal lead late in the period on a power play goal.
Both teams got into penalty trouble in the third period, but Mitchell could not capitalize on any power plays, and Kincardine would add both a shorthanded and power play goal to take a commanding 5-1 lead.
Nick Wagner would add an unassisted goal midway through the final frame to round out the scoring.
