Ladies and Gentlemen…the boys are not shaving and letting their hair grow……it’s Playoff hockey time for the Terry's Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s starting this weekend in Clinton!!
The Mitchell Midget AE’s earned the right for a bye in the Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) playoffs. The top two teams in our division received this right, however with this bye it also limited the boys hockey play so Management arranged a couple of exhibition games against the St. Marys Rock. The first exhibition game was in Monkton and the teams tied at 3 a piece. The second game was held in St. Marys, unfortunately due to the ice conditions, the St.Marys arena staff cancelled the game in order to prevent any possible injuries to either team.
Terry’s Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s will be travelling to Clinton this Saturday evening to start their OMHA play off series against our league rivals, the BCH Icedogs. This will be the first playoff series for the boys for the year, unlike the Icedogs who eliminated the Blyth/Brussel AE's in their first round and earned the right to move to the next round and play the Mitchell AE's.
Game #1 is in Clinton Saturday, January 26 at 6:30pm. I will let everyone reread past articles to educate yourselves on past outcomes between these two adversaries. The second and third games in this league rival play off match up is schedule in Mitchell next weekend, game #2 Friday, Feb. 1 at 9:15 pm followed by game #3 in Mitchell on Sunday Feb. 3 at 9 pm.
These games will be guaranteed to be extremely entertaining, so come out and cheers the boys on!!
