Game 3 BCH series
The Terry's Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s once again hosted their league rivals, the BCH Icedogs, on Sunday evening in Mitchell for game three of their OMHA playoffs series.

This game was filled with…well everything, and I do mean everything and after 45 minutes of hockey, penalizes, battles, good calls and bad, fan discussions, a victor to game three would be decided.

The Meteors stuck first late in the first when Evan Morrison capitalized on a shot from Devin Fenwick and Joe Hill turning the “goal” light on the board first, but definitely not the last for the evening. The score keeper was able to add another to the home side near the end of the first when Caleb Tweddle launched the puck pass the Dogs goalie with help from Kurtis Forest and Carter Preszcator and ending the first period 2-0.

Mitchell would start the second period strong, adding yet another goal to the board when Jackson MacArthur sniped the puck past the net minder with the helpers coming from Morrison and Josh Bedour making it 3-0.  With their rivals down three, Mitchell would start the parade to the penalty box and like clock work, their opponents were able to capitalize on the parade to crack their goose egg and make it 3-1 to end the second period.

The third was one intense period of hockey with the Dogs dominating due to the home favourites penalty troubles and we soon found ourselves having a tied hockey game at three.  Nearing the end of the third, Morrison sent a beauty to the back of the doghouse with MacArthur and Chaffe getting the assists and putting Mitchell back in the lead, however stripes were not done influencing this game and sent the Icedogs to the power play where they tied it just 26 seconds later, making it 4-4.

With just 41 seconds remaining, Tweddle sends the puck to the point, Hill releases a bullet towards the net and Connor Louwagie tips it thru the crowd giving Mitchell the win and adding another well deserved,  hard earned two points to this gladiator type series.

Mitchell now leads the series 4 points to 2. Game 4 of this OMHA grudge match continues Monday evening (tonight), where the BCH Icedogs will host the Mitchell Meteors in Clinton, game time is at 7pm.
