4-1 win over Hanover
On Sunday evening the Terry’s Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s travelled to Hanover to play the Falcons.

Mitchell has encountered the Falcons twice before, winning both times and providing some spirited hockey.  On Sunday evening it was a certainly a different type of game, although filled with numerous penalties, the game was like watching grass grow, like watching paint dry, like watching turtles race with the fans almost needing tooth picks to hold our eyes open to watch the 45 minutes of hockey.

Mitchell finally woke the fans up near the end of the first when at 5:55 Jackson MacArthur slipped the puck past the Hanover net minder with help from Jake Monden and Joe Hill. Not to be out done, the Falcons woke their fans up shortly after buzzing the puck pass Ryan Bell’s left shoulder and tying the score at the end of the first 1-1.

The action in the second period was similar to the first, with fans wanting their money back.  Finally Mitchell doubled their score to 2 when Kurtis Forest out witted their goalie with assists going to both Josh Edit and Conner Louwagie mid way through the second.

With both the third and the Falcons frustrations starting,  Mitchell started to capitalize on the latter.  Just over half way through the third Even Morrison sent the rubber to the back of the host’s net with MacArthur and Josh Bedour both picking up assists.  As frustrations continued, so did the scoring for Mitchell with MacArthur finishing the scoring for the game at 4-1 with help from Louwagie and Devin Fenwick.

Although a painful game to watch, Mitchell was able to add to their winning streak and gain another 2 points on the season. Special mention going to Devin Fenwick, Devin drew three penalties and did not retaliate to put himself or the team in jeopardy.

Next game for the Terry’s Auto Service Mitchell Midget AE’s is Tuesday evening when Mitchell hosts the Blyth/Brussels Crusades at 7pm. Last time these teams met, Mitchell won 3-1.
