Meteors vs. Saugeen Shores
It was a fast-paced game on Friday, December 14th when the undefeated Saugeen Shores Storm travelled to Mitchell to take on the Meteors.
Saugeen Shores net the first two goals early on in the first period to set the pace of the game. With four minutes left in the period, Charlie Wolfe roofed one past the net minder to close the gap within one. Saugeen battled back and scored a power play goal with two minutes remaining to again take a 2 goal lead. Carter Miller (Lite) was keeping his squad in it - being pressed and tested the entire game, saving everything the Storm was sending his way!
The second period was a draw. No goals for either team - Saugeen was up 3-1.
Early in the third the Storm nets another goal for a 4-1 lead. The boys played well with great back checking and lots of effort, but they just couldn't break the Saugeen streak.
Final score 5-1.
