Atom Reps get the "W" against Listowel
Walkom's Valu-Mart Atom Reps hosted the Listowel Cyclones Friday December 21st on home ice.
Ten seconds into the first period, Ryan Glauser got a rebound from Ethan Jarmuth's shot and tucked it in the net to get a quick head start. The boys were pressing hard on Listowel and making their goaltender earn his keep. Ryan Klumper made it 2-0 when he caught a loose puck off the face-off and knocked one in. The boys had energy galore and kept going strong. Braden Hoegy went coast to coast for a TSN high-light top shelf beauty stretching the gap 3-0. Jarmuth caught a rebound after Cohen Ahrens fired one from the blue line and managed to knock it in for a 4-0 end to the first period.
The Meteors managed to hold off Listowel into the second period, but couldn't move the scoreboard themselves - end of the second period showed the boys ahead 4-0.
Listowel came out in the third with a fire lit under them, making the Meteors dig hard for the W. Strong defensive play, phenomenal offensive passing, back checking and shooting kept the boys ahead throughout the third.
The Meteors were able to hold off the Cyclones for a 4-3 win.
