"So fast", "their best game yet", "A for effort" were just a few of the comments heard in the stands after the Mitchell Meteors beat the Hanover Falcons 2-1 Sunday night on home ice.
It was an action-packed nail-biter the entire game. The score board showed 0-0 after the first, which did not reflect the game on the ice. Shot after shot, strong defense and some beauty blocker saves by Carter Miller - these boys had a fire lit under them and came ready to play! Hanover took a 1-0 lead shortly into the second, but persistence paid off for the Meteors when a power play goal in the third period by Ryan Klumper, assisted by Jonah Gibbings got the ball rolling for a 1-1 tie. Ethan Jarmuth scored the winner, another power play goal, assisted by Bryce Dixon.
The boys managed to hold off the Falcons for a 2-1 victory to close out the weekend. Another win for the good guys!
