Atom Rep - Vic Jackson Memorial Demeyere Chrysler Tournament
The Walkom's Valu-Mart Atom Reps travelled to Simcoe last weekend for an action-packed tournament full of highlight-reel goals, assists and saves between the pipes.
The boys came into the tournament with a 4-4-1 record.

The boys first game was against the tourney hosts, Simcoe Warriors which was the first win of the weekend.  Cohen Ahrens stepped up in the first period and stopped a break-away, freeing the puck up and sending Ryan Klumper down the ice for his first goal of the game for a 1-0 lead.  Simcoe took a 2-1 lead in the second period, but the boys battled back strong.  Max Hannon rushed the puck up the outside and set Klumper up perfectly in front of the net for a one-timer that went top shelf where Grandma keeps the cookies! Mitchell took back the lead when Klumper pulled the puck out of the corner and earned himself the "hatty".  Carter Miller showed phenomenal goaltending skills and kept the boys alive in this match.  The boys came out flying in the third period.  Max Hannon stole the puck at the blue line and buried it in the net for the 4th goal of the game, assisted by Braden Hoegy.  Logan Verberne caught a nice rebound, given up by Simcoe, and fired it away for the fifth goal.  Cohen Ahrens' shot from the corner assisted Klumper's 4th goal of the game.   Ahrens, Elijah Bender, Jonah Gibbings and Hoegy played solid defense in a 6-3 win over Simcoe.  Ryan Klumper earned MVP of the game.
