Novice Girls headed to game 3 three with Heartbreaker loss to Embro.
Submitted By Neal Hartwig on Monday, March 25, 2019
Game two of the series took place on Saturday in Embro, with the Meteors looking bring home the trophy with a win.

Embro took the lead in the first period on a deflected goal that didn’t give Ally VanBakel much of a chance to stop it.

The Meteors picked things up in the second period with a couple great chances by Ellie MacArthur and Kayla Visneskie, but both came up short.

The Meteors were finally able to take the lead in the third with a breakaway goal by Macarthur, as well as a goal scored by Visneskie and assisted by Alise Crawford.  In the final minutes of the game The Inferno pulled their goalie for one last crack at the tying goal. Their efforts paid off as they scored with about a minute on the clock to tie the game at two.  Not long after that The Meteors who were looking for the win, pulled the goalie, but had to quickly send VanBakel back to try and beat the Inferno player to the net. Embro was able to score an empty net goal to take the win and force game three which takes place Monday at 7pm.
