Novice LL 2 go undefeated in Brantford
Mitchell dodge caravan novice LL 2 team goes 4-0 to sweep the competition in Brantford en route to there 4th tournament title of the season

This young team has had quite an impressive run in tournaments this year, with 4 tournament titles and sporting a tournament  record of 20-2. The most recent was a family day trip to Brantford for the annual dodge caravan cup. The tournament started off bright and early against a big welland team who had a couple over agers on the team. The locals were sleepy early but like all in many occasions when they get pushed they wake up and start skating hard. Caleb pennings and Masen Houghton led the offense with assists from carson vosper and Dylan dietrich. The final resulted in a 5-1 win for the locals. It was then onto a match against a confident Caledonia team. Who boasted about the fact that they had only lost 1 game all year. The locals pinned them in there own end all game and never gave them an ounce of breathing room. Connor wolfe led the offense with an end to end goal and 3 assists. Reegan vessie put the game away late with a top shelf goal from the slot to top off a 6-0 win. In the final round robin game Mitchell played a winless Oakville team. Quaide hoskins and Brayden baxter each added goals to lead the offense and defenseman turned forward for this game Landon Glauser, set up many tallies and reeked havoc on the opponent all game. In the finals the locals played a tough rep team from Thorold. Mitchell was caught on there heels early against  much tougher competition then they had faced all tournament. Lincoln Laverty started the forecheckin for the team and the rest followed suit. Laverty, Houghton and Dylan dietrich dominated the play all game when they were on the ice. Goalie Tatum vessie made a couple crucial breakaway saves to keep the locals alive. Houghton and r vessie then added a couple crucial goals to take the lead and never look back. Luke krempien was heavily relied upon on the defensive to hold Thorold at bay. The game ended in  a thrilling 3-2 Mitchell win. This team has played a lot of hockey this year and with this most recent tournament win the teams season win total surpasses 40 wins on the season.
