JP Uniac Atom Girls Strong In Road Win
The JP Uniac Insurance Atom HL girls continued their strong play with a solid 5 to 1 win over South Huron C on Saturday afternoon.
The girls competed well all game with a strong forecheck and responsible defence. Rachel Haefling lead the Mitchell offence with a hat trick and an assist, while linemates Haileigh Templeman (1 goal, 3 assists) and Andrea Kelly (4 assists) also added 4 points each. Brooklyn French added the go ahead goal just 10 seconds into the second period with Alissa Insley and Tegan Mace drawing the assists on the goal. Mitchell's defence and goaltending was steady all game as they limited South Huron to a lone goal. The team wraps up their first portion of the young season Saturday morning with a trip to Lambeth.
