B.A.D Tournament Champs
The JP Uniac Insurance Atom HL Girls went an impressive 5-0 over the weekend to win the B.A.D. Tournament.

An aggressive forecheck, sound defence and great teamwork were evident throughout all the tournament games.  The girls opened the tournament undefeated in the round-robin with 3 strong performances.  Scoring was spread out throughout the weekend, however highlights from these round-robin games included hat tricks from Brooklynn French(2), Andrea Kelly and Rachel Haefling.  Defensive highlights included strong work from Addy Wolfe and Peyton Vanderkuylen keeping pucks in the offensive zone and smart defensive play.
The three wins would leave the Meteors as the top seed moving into Saturdays semi finals.  Facing off against Saugeen Shores Storm the girls continued their strong teamplay.  Teegan Mace would lead the offence in this game with 3 goals, while blueliners Hayden Uniac (2goals) and  Rylee Kipfer (1 goal) contributed to the offense in the semifinal.
In the finals Sunday afternoon the Meteors would face Lambton Attack.  Once again the girls were up to the task with a well rounded effort from puck drop to final buzzer. Alissa Insley and Haileigh Templeman would each scored a pair of goals in the final as the Meteors would take a 5-0 win for the championship.  Goaltender Ally Vogels racked up an astounding 4 shutouts over the weekend.
An impressive weekend for the girls. The streaking Meteors will continue their League play this weekend as the team hits a 3 game road trip with stops in Brantford, Wallaceburg and Komoka to wrap up the regular season.
