More Provincial Warmup
The Meteor Atom B girls played a series of exhibition games to stay fresh for Provincials, against BB competition.
On March 10 they took to the ice vs the South Huron Sabres, with goaltender Kora Smith logging a 1-0 shutout victory.
Danielle Harmer drove in the game winner on a pass from Kara Rolph.
In South Huron on March 3rd, the Meteors fought hard in a losing battle to the Sabres, dropping a 2-1 defeat.
Josephine Jarmuth potted the lone tally in the loss, assisted by Jade Huygen and Josie Walker.
On March 18 Mitchell entertained the Huron Heat, tying the visitors 1-1 in their final BB exhibition match. Walker netted the goal for the Meteors, assisted by Jarmuth.
The Meteors face the West Oxford Inferno in their final exhibition game of the year next weekend.
At provincials on April 6, 24 teams from all across Ontario converge in the GTA to vie for Gold.
The Meteors fall in a pool with Sault Ste. Marie Wildcats, Brantford Ice Cats, and the Toronto Leaside Wildcats.
The girls will have to be nasty to a whole lot of kitties in the round robin to move forward to the playoff preliminaries - with a potential 7 games in total en route to the medal rounds.
