Brantford Tournament Victory
The Atom B girls went undefeated in Brantford this weekend to claim the tournament title.

The girls opened up the tournament with a 2-0 victory over the Walkerton Capitals, and finished Friday with a 7-1 pounding of the North Simcoe Capitals.
On Saturday, they beat the Lambeth Lancers 2-0, and polished off the host Brantford Ice Cats 5-2, a score which did not accurately reflect how close the game actually was.
Throughout the tournament, defenders Heather Ogilvie, Alexis Gettler, Aubrey Vosper and Jessie Horan fiercely protected their own zone, while opening up neutral ice with crisp and effective D to D passing which belied their age level, creating space for the forwards to operate.

The finals brought a rematch vs the Brantford squad, and the Meteors found themselves down by a goal for much of the game.  A late charge by Kara Rolph pushed the game to OT.  Unresolved in the extra period, the Meteors found themselves in a shootout situation...  Rolph and Danielle Harmer both scored while Kora Smith held the opposition to a single tally - Victory!
