Sunday, November 19, saw the MCR Mitchell Atom LL team
facing off against the BCH Ice Dogs Team 1 on home ice. The game was off
to a quick start with BCH netting 2 back-to-back goals. The action didn’t
stop but the cards were not in Mitchell’s favor this day.
Mitchell held
off BCH in the second only allowing 1 goal. BCH was able to slip 2 more
goals by at the start of the third period.
Our shining moment came with Tyler Scherbarth setting up Griffen Bree for a very nice goal in the 3rd. The Mitchell team fought hard right to the end but the BCH defense would not let our forwards by. And special mention to our defense, who dug their heels in and did their best to stop the BCH rush.
