Novice Girls Move On To WOGHL League Final
The Dodge Caravan Kids Meteor Novice Girls earned a berth in the WOGHL 'C' Division 1 finals on March 17th with a 2-1 victory over the St. Thomas Panthers, who they ironically will face in the championship round.

Abigayle Van Bakel scored the winner with 1.8 seconds left in the game, assisted by Ava Harmer and Alayna McKay.  Selina Gethke had opened the scoring early in the first period, knocking in a rebound in front of the net assisted by Van Bakel and Harmer.  Ellie MacArthur was solid in net to earn the win, avenging a loss in St. Thomas a week earlier.
On Friday March 16th, the Meteors hosted Lambeth, downing them 3-0 with MacArthur earning the shutout.  Van Bakel scored a pair of goals, and Harmer chipped in with a single marker.  Assists were recorded by Zoey Michel, Camryn Medhurst, Emma Groenestege, and Avery Smith.
The girls now await a schedule for the final round with St. Thomas, which will be a two out of three series for the Novice 'C' Division 1 championship.
