Another Solid Team Effort vs BCH TIRE
Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL 2 team played a sound team game , distributing the puck well in defeating BCH Tire 6-1.
Team play was evident lead by the defense , Kelly, Otten, Dejong, and Hubbard ,
as they didn't surrender a shot on net until midway through the third period , snuffing out the BCH offense also aided by the hard working forwards on the back check.
Mitchell offense was shut down by the excellent goaltending and finally Michael Coyne buried a rebound , off the stick of Sean Gibbings in the second period to break the scoreless game.
Then Max Brodhagen scored off a rebound at 14:35 of the third period from Dietz, off a pass from Logan Montgomery. Then 45 seconds later Dietz tipped in a point blast from Ben Kelly make it 3-0.
Then shortly after Ben Hubbard scored from the point off a pass from Dietz, and then Dietz scored two more times to complete the hat tick , both set ups from Max Brodhagen, and Cole Templeman . Liam Baker also added an assist and showed well in the game forechecking and showing puck patients as well.
Sebastian Voros recorded the win in goal .
Next up after a couple practices this week , they will head to the Lucknow Novice Rep tournament , playing at 11 am vs West Grey.
