The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL2 Meteors , followed up there undefeated regular season , by advancing to the WOAA MAROON NOVICE LL final , by grinding out a tough divisional round robin , needing to wins in the final weekend .
With all three teams at 3 wins heading into the final weekend , the team needed to win both games and started off on the Friday night facing Mitchell LL1, boys broke open a tight game by scoring 4 times in the third period , off the sticks of Otten , Dietz, Coyne, Kelly (2), assists in the game Hubbard 3, Dietz 2, Templeman 2, Brodhagen . and winning 5-3. Voros made some key saves in the win. Next up another must win vs BCH , home tilt in Monkton and again a tight game , as game was scoreless after two periods, and then Kelly erupted and put the team on his back scoring four goals, and Coyne with two, leading the team to a 7-1 win and a trip to the final .
Hubbard , Templeman , Dietz, Otten, all pair of assists. Gibbings , Baker Montgomery and Dejong also chipped in with some strong play in the game .
