Mitchell Dodge Chrysler Caravan Kids Novice LL 2 team did a northwestern trip on Saturday for two games at 9am Blyth-Brussels Crusaders and up the highway at 1245pm vs Wingham Ironmen.
9am in Brussels Cameron Dietz ,Scored twice in the first period to stake the team to a 2-0 first intermission lead , and after a scoreless second period of tight checking and a couple key saves from C-Bas , Voros in net , Ben Kelly scored at 5:52 of the third period , and Dietz added two more to give him four on the day to build a 5-1 lead . Blake Otten added one late to give the team a good start to the day and a 6-1 win.
Lukas Dejong 2 assists, Coyne, Hubbard , and Baker adding single.
Game two in Wingham , Coyne scored twice in the first period , and Liam Baker scored his first of the year to lead the Meteors to a 10-0 win. Voros with the s/o ,Ben Hubbard, Logan Montgomery , hot stick scored twice , Kelly , and Cole Templeman , Dejong also scored.Kelly 4 assists, Dietz 3, Gibbings, Brodhagen 2, Otten, 3, Baker, and Coyne. The team should be commended for the excellent passing and puck movement all day which is great to see the balanced scoring attack.
The team hosts BCH, and Wallace at home next weekend as there record sits at 5-0-1.
