Fighting the Storm on the Weekend
The McLaughlin's Auto Wholesaling Novice Rep team struggled through two games against the Saugeen Shores Storm this past weekend.

The Meteors were not too far behind the Storm through most of Saturday's game as Carson Lubbers scored twice after taking passes from Carson Brown and Austin Judge.  Unfortunately, the game ended with a score of 4-2 in favour of the Storm.  Sunday's game started off better as the Meteors jumped on the scoreboard first with a quick goal by Carson Brown after taking a pass from Jake Richardson.   Despite their continued efforts and great plays, the score slipped away from the Metors as time went by and the Saugeen Shores took a 5-1 win.

Special mention goes to Landon VanBakel who is a very versatile hockey player with excellent skating skills and strong shots from the point.  He is often seen pulling the puck out of a battling crowd were he collectedly steers it into open ice giving him a clearing into the offensive zone.  Keep up the great work Landon!

The Meteors welcome the Blyth-Brussels Crusaders this Sunday for an exhibition game at the Mitchell arena. Come on out and cheer them on.
