Victory at Home, Loss on the Road
There was a lot of action this past weekend as the McLaughlin's Auto Wholesaling Novice Rep team took a victory at home and a loss on the road.
On Saturday they outshone the Seaforth Stars 4-1 as Landon VanBakel racked up a hat-trick with three awesome goals. There's no stop'n that fine young hockey player as he continues to demonstrate is skills and knowledge of the game. The other goal came from Jake Richardson's unbeatable wrist shot. Assists were contributed from Colby Faust, Carson Lubbers, and Austin Judge.
On Sunday the Meteors headed off to Ayton for a league game against the West Gray Warriors. The Meteors pounded the Warrior goalie with more than a dozen shots however, only one made it to the net and they were defeated 2-1. Nate Uniac scored the lone goal for the Meteors by outmaneuvering the entire team of Warriors and blasting a shot right over the goalie's shoulder.
The Meteors have one more regular season game this Sunday against the Mount Forest Rams so come cheer them on.
