Novice C Girls Battle Huron Heat B
On Thursday Dec 29 the Perth County Chrysler Novice C girls team welcomed the Huron Heat B team to Monkton for an exhibition game.  In what turned out to be a see-saw affair, the teams ended the game tied 1-1.

The Meteor girls took to the ice for their first game since Christmas and had to shake off a little rust early.  The Heat scored early in the first period to take the lead.  The game would stay tied until the 5:22 mark of the second, when sniper Danielle Harmer would score Mitchell's tying goal.  Ashley McLeod and cousin Ava Harmer would provide the assists for the goal.  The remainder of the game would be back and forth and neither team could find the back of the net to take the lead.  Grace Kipfer was again solid in net, and thanked the defence corp of Rylee Kipfer, Jessie Horan, Heather Ogilvie and Zoey Michel.  The line of Kara Rolph, Jayda Houben and Camryn Medhurst would apply some pressure throughout the game but were unable to find the score sheet.
Next action for the Meteors is Tuesday Jan 3 when the girls will have another exhibition game in Stratford against a strong Aces team.  Good luck!
