The McLauglin Wholesaling Novice Rep team hosted the Listowel Cylcones Saturday, January 21st, 2017 in Elma-Logan. The Meteor's coming into this game after a hard fought lost to the Rams would face another defensively strong team in the Cylcones. Listowel currently sits sixth in the division overall but boast's the 4th best goals against. It a very tight match-up the Meteors would eventually lose this game 3 to 2.
The Cyclones would open the scoring at 6:50 of the first period only to be answered by a nice pass from Matthew Menheere to Ethan Jarmuth who would bury the puck at 4:58 mark. Ethan Jarmuth would then show a tremendous lone effort and score the second goal unassisted for the Meteors. With 2:35 remaining in the first period the Cylcones would tie up the match.
In the second period no goals were scored or allowed as Cohen Ahrens, Elijah Bender, Griffin Bree, Jonah Gibbings and Braden Hoegy would protect the solid play of Aedan McCann.
Unfortunately, the Cylones would strike in the third period and the Meteors could not answer to close out the game.
