Game #1 Second Round vrs Drayton Defenders
The McLaughlin Wholesaling Novice Rep Meteors traveled to Drayton Wednesday, March 1st, 2017 for a 6:00pm game. The Meteors having swept pool A would be taking on Drayton who also went undefeated in pool (B) with four straight wins. The Meteors put up a tremendous fight but the wheels came off in the third period and they would lose the first game 9 to 2.
The Defenders would come out strong out scoring the Meteor's 3 to 0 in the first period; however the second period would see the roles reversed as Mitchell would shut down the Defenders and score two of their own. First, Matthew Meneheere would find the net with assist drawn by Bryce Dixon and Ryan Klumper. Then Ethan Jarmuth would give the Meteor's hope, as he has done all year long, and score with 0:23 left in the second. Assist's coming from Max Hannon and Ryan Glauser. However, going into the third period, the boys just ran out of gas and watched their come back evaporate as the Defenders would go on to score 6 goals.
