The Mclauglins Wholesaling Novice Rep team welcomed the Mount Forest Rams to the Elma-Logan arena on Saturday, January 14th, 2017 for a 4:00pm game. The Rams sitting fifth in the division but ranking fourth in goals against would display that strength as the Meteors would be limited in the number of good scoring chances. In what would be come a defensive battle the Meteor's would eventually fall 3 to 0 in a hard fought well played game.
Aiden McCann would shine bright in goal making many key save's. The defense of Cohen Ahrens, Elijah Bender, Griffin Bree, Jonah Gibbings and Braden Hoegy would play a dynamic game keeping many of the shots to the outside or from bad angles. The Rams defense would hold the Meteors offense to much of the same scoring chances. Despite the shutout, the Meteor's offense played extremely hard and never gave up the entire game.
