Mitchell Scotiabank Bantam AE's Win Again
Mitchell Scotiabank Bantam AE’s met with the Listowel Cyclone AE’s on March 3rd on home ice winning 4-2 in WOAA playoffs.
First period Mitchell had numerous attempts on the Listowel goalie who was solid in net. Damon Kay assisted by Jared McCarthy slid one over the shoulder putting Mitchell on the board. Curt Eidt would put an unassisted goal in before the end of the first period which ended with Mitchell ahead 2-1.
Second period Mitchell managed to play through a number of penalty kills keeping the puck deep into the Listowel end. Eidt charges up the ice and tosses in another unassisted goal. Second period ends 3-1 Mitchell.
Late in the third period Eidt assisted by Caleb Tweddle seals the deal with a hat trick. Listowel would get one more point late in the third but time ran out. James Vink played solid in net.
Mitchell takes the 4-2 win.
