Peewee AE's Take Upper Hand in Provincial Playdowns
The boys were on the road last night for their first in the semi final series against the Ilderton Jets. The Meteors dominated the play and came out with a huge 6-1 win.
The boys got on the board within the first few minutes when Evan MacArthur ('04) sunk the first goal while Kyle Eisler earned the assist. Mitchell headed into the second period up 1-0.
Josh Eidt tucked in goal #2 with Wade Monden and Solomon Koert getting assists. A few minutes later, Evan MacArthur ('03) notched an unassisted goal to increase the lead 3-0. Ilderton was able to capitalize on a Mitchell penalty and with 14 seconds left in the period they got on the board to cut the lead 3-1.
The Meteors came out to finish the game off and scored 3 goals in the third. Goals by Koert, Eilser and Monden sealed the huge victory and gave Mitchell the lead in the series. MacArthur ('04) added 2 assists while Eidt and Koert added others. Greg Reidy was solid in net for the Meteors. Great start boys!
