Peewee AE's Off to a Good Start in WOAA Lockridge Play-offs
The Meteors have been moved in to the Rep division for the league play-offs which has put them in a round robin against Central Perth and Minto. Game one tonight was against Central Perth and the boys came out ahead 2-0.
Mitchell took a bit of time to warm up to being on the ice again after having 5 days off. They were well matched to the Central Perth team and the game was end to end. It wasn't until the dying minutes of the game that Mitchell began to score. On a power play, Evan MacArthur ('04) finally got one by the net minder to put the boys on the board after a beautiful passing play by line mates Kyle Eisler and AP Player P.J. Marshall. The final goal came with just a minute left in the game on another power play. This time it was Joey Adam tipping the puck to Drew Scherbarth who buried it behind the Central Perth's goalie. The boys didn't play their usual game but it was enough to take the win. Greg Reidy earned the shut-out for the first two periods with Austin Weir completing the shut out for the third. Way to go boys!
