The Boys are Bouncing Back!
After a few rough games, the Meteors look like they may be on the road back after a huge win in Port Elgin last night dominating the game to a 7-0 victory.

The boys took it easy in the first period, getting use to the large ice surface and recovering from the long drive.  They were just waiting for the right moment to strike and just didn't seem to think the first period was the right time so it ended 0-0.
The second period looked a little more promising as the boys started to skate and made some great plays.  Josh Eidt got the boys on the board just over a minute into the period with a great low shot that beat the Saugeen Shores goalie.  Solomon Koert picked up the assist. Just a few minutes later, Koert notched a goal of his own with an incredible top corner shot that left the net minder a little stunned. Curtis Chaffe earned the assist.  The final goal of the period came from Eidt who picked up the puck in front of the net.  Koert and Wade Monden got the assists.  The second period ended 3-0
The final period opened with a quick, unassisted, goal from Coulter Rolph on a bad bounce off the boards. that Rolph was able to tap in, increasing the lead by 4.  It went from bad to worse for the Shores goalie as Cameron Haun riffled a shot from the blue line that deflected off the Saugeen Shores defender and in the net.  This marked Haun's first goal of the season!  Way to Go! Less than a minute later, Evan MacArthur stole the puck from the Shores defence and walked into the zone and notched Mitchell's 6th goal.  The final goal came from Brett Poirier who found the back of the net.  Drew Scherbarth and Curtis Dejong got the assists.  The boys won the game 7-0.  Special mention goes to Curtis Chaffe for great heads up passes, looking for the open forward to move the puck up the ice time and time again.  Great job!
