The Your Neighbourhood Credit Union Atom Rep Meteors opened up with a win at silver stick  in Wingham on Sunday.  The boys were set to play the Tavistock Braves after only seeing them last weekend in Simcoe.  Mitchell came out ready to play and jumped to a 2-0 lead after the first period with goals by Jarrett Van Bakel assisted by Dawson Dietz followed by a goal by Vincent Voros with assist by Jack Small.  Mitchell would add to their lead with another goal by Voros assisted by Brock Boville before Tavistock would get on the board.  Mitchell’s Dietz then responded with two goals with helpers going to Cole Hannon and Andrew Van Bakel.  With 7 seconds left, Voros would get another goal to make the final 6-1 for the Meteors.  Mitchell’s next silver stick game is scheduled for Thursday December 3 vs. Hanover.

Sunday night the meteors travelled to Seaforth to play a league game vs. the Stars.  Mitchell again would open the scoring with a goal by Dietz with an assist by Jamie Feltz but Seaforth would quickly respond with a goal of their own to tie it up.  Seaforth would take the lead partway through the second before two goals by Voros assisted by Xavier Lorentz and Feltz would give Mitchell the advantage.  The third period saw Seaforth get two goals of their own to make Mitchell dig deep to get two more goals the winner by Feltz assisted by Dietz and an empty net goal by Voros to solidify the win by a score of 5-3.
