Thrilling come from behind victory for Mitchell Atom Boys!
The Your neighbourhood credit union atom rep meteors had an exciting come from behind victory versus the home team Wingham last Tuesday night.

Wingham jumped out to an early 2-0 lead before Mitchell got on the board in the second period with their first goal of the game scored by Brock Boville assited by Daniel Ogilvie.  At the beginning of the third period, Vincent Voros would score a goal to tie up the game at 2-2 with assists to Dawson Dietz and Rhett Terpstra.  The next two minutes would see Wingham answer with two more goals to gain the lead again.  But Mitchell didn’t stop and kept working hard to battle against their opponents.  Dietz would get an unassisted goal to start the attack followed by a goal by Voros assisted by Terpstra to tie the game up at 4-4.  With 1 minute thirty seconds left in the third, Wingham was given a tripping penalty to put Mitchell on the powerplay.  With one minute gone of the powerplay, Cole Hannon would get the puck to Terpstra to set the stage for the winning goal with just 33 seconds left on the clock.  Dietz would solidify the win by adding an empty net goal only 5 seconds later to make it a Mitchell victory 6-4.

The Atom Reps moved on to play Hanover this past Sunday in the second game of WOAA playoff action with Hanover.  After Mitchell stole the first game from Hanover in a thrilling overtime victory, Hanover was hungry and came out determined to take this game from Mitchell.  Despite some good chances, Mitchell were unable to score and lost the game 6-0.  Game three of this series will take place next weekend to determine who advances to the WOAA championship round.
