Strong Start to Season
The Your Neighbourhood Credit Union Mitchell Atom Rep team has had a strong start to the 2015-16 hockey season.  In their first regular season game on home ice, they battled against the Kincardine Kinucks.  The Meteors played hard but came up short losing 4-1.

Mitchell were then scheduled to meet up with the South Bruce blades to play a home and home between the clubs.  Mitchell first travelled to Teeswater where the Meteors came out flying defeating the Blades 6-0.  Kody Eisler played solid in net to earn the shut out.

The following game in Monkton, the Blades were hoping to change the momentum and get a win when they scored a quick goal only 45 seconds into the game.  By the end of the first period, Vincent Voros had tied it up with a goal assisted by Xavier Lorentz.  Mitchell would add two more goals in the second with an unassisted snipe by Josh French and another goal by Voros after being fed the puck by Jarrett Van Bakel.  South Bruce Battled back with two more goals in the third to try to close the gap but the Meteors kept putting the puck in the net.  After a beauty pass from Cole Hannon, Dawson Dietz deeked the goalie and buried the puck in the wide open net.  Jamie Feltz took a hard shot along the ice putting the puck in the bottom corner to score Mitchell’s last goal of the game and to make it a 5-3 victory for the Meteors.
