Tru Country & Garden Novice Girls split a pair on the road this weekend
The girls had a road trip this weekend travelling to St. Mary's on Friday evening, and to Stephen Township on Halloween.

On Friday in St. Mary's the girls came up against a tough team.  St. Mary's was on fire and scored 3 goals in the first period of play.  The girls didn't give up and tried to put one up on the scoreboard but were uneventful and the game would end 3-0 for St. Marys.

On Saturday the girls would travel to Huron Park to play the South Huron Novice HL team.  The girls were excited with Halloween looming and a silly looking coach on the bench they came out flying.  Jade Huygen would score two and Haileigh Templeman would score another in the first period assisted by Danielle Harmer.  In the second Huygen was relentless as ever notching another goal to give her a hat trick.  The scoring would not end there as Jesse Horan with a bullet from the point was able to squeak another by the Sabres goalie to mark her first of the season.  Huygen would round out the scoring a couple minutes later and the final was 5-0 Meteors.

These two games round out the first half of league play.  The girls will be re-seeded and the rest of the season will be scheduled later this week.  Great start to the season girls, all the fans are excited to watch the second half!
