WOAA Playoff Game #2
The Dodge Caravan Novice LL would play host to the Hanover Falcon's in Mitchell Thursday, March 24, 2016 at 7:00pm.  The Falcon's riding a hot streak of 5 wins and only 1 loss in the Silver East division finals, would be coming into Mitchell on a winning streak ready to take the second game of the WOAA finals.  The Falcon's consisting of second year Novice players would call up a special young "AP" player who would add much needed offense.  In the end, the Hanover Falcon's would play an exceptional game and take the Central South Silver Championship with a score of 6-1.  The Falcon's young "AP" call-up would account for 4 of the 6 goals against the Meteors.

The lone scoring play came late in the third period when Bryce Dixon would jam home a lose puck at the side of the net.  Assisting on the play was Griffin Bree and Rogan Catalan.  Despite being down 5-0 at that time in the third period the Meteor's continued to play their style of team first hockey and never give up.
After accomplishing so much this season, a gold medal in Parkhill, finalist's in St. Mary's, Central South West Silver Division Champions and a finalist in the WOAA playoff's, the Meteor's loss was bittersweet.  The boy's held their heads high as they received their Silver Medals and were all smiles for the team picture.
As coaches, we could not have been more proud of the boys as they all worked hard, and played for each other as a team all year.  Ultimately it was this team chemistry that made this team so successful.
The parents may have played the biggest role of all with their continued support and positive attitude's for the coaches and players as the Meteor's family grew together with each practice and game, win or lose.
