St. Mary's Tournament Game 1
The Dodge Caravan Novice LL opened the St. Mary's Novice Tournament at 8:45am in Pool "B" against the local St. Mary's Oilers. Bryce Otten would get the call in net and once again play outstanding. Griffin Bree would take player of the game honors with his first "hat trick" of the year.
Griffin Bree would open the scoring in the first period at 5:22 on a nice pass from Zachary Siemon-Hergott. Close after the Oilers would respond at the 4:13 mark with a goal of their own to end the first period tied 1-1. Once again Griffin Bree would open the scoring in the second period with assist's from Lucas Mahon and Bryce Dixon. Not to be outdone, the Oilers would strike again with 2:40 to leave the score tied in the second period. In the third, the local St. Mary's Oilers would score first putting the Meteors back on their heels. However, Griffin Bree would be sprung free on a sweet pass from Brody Schoonderwoerd and would go in to score to tie the game which is how it would end.
