St Mary's Tournament Game 3
The Dodge Caravan Novice LL's third game would come against the local St. Mary's Sharks. Bryce Otten would get the call in net and see a lot of action for the exhausted Meteors. Jonah Gibbings would take the player of the game honor for his strong defensive work during this games action.
Griffin Bree would strike early at the 9:47 mark to open the game by jumping on a loose puck. The local Sharks would battle back hard to score two of their own to end the first period in the lead 2-1. The Sharks would than keep the momentum going by scoring first in the second to take a 3-1 lead. However, Rogan Catalan would strike within a minute of their goal to bring the Meteors back to 3-2. Later, Griffin Bree would even the score at 3-3 with his second of the game. But the exhausted Meteor's would give up a late marker in the second ending the period down 4-3. In the third period, Griffin Bree would strike early at the 11:48 mark for his third of the game and get the Meteor's tied up 4-4. Shortly after Zach Siemon-Hergott would score to give the Meteors the lead back at 5-4. The Sharks did not give up and on a strong play and would come back to even the score at 5-5. With time winding down on the clock Griffin Bree would put in his fourth goal of the game and secure the victory for the Meteors.
Assisting in the 6-5 game were Aedan McCann with two, Bryce Dixon and Rogan Catalan with one each.
