Help from the "Hawks Quarters"
The Dodge Caravan Novice LL received some much needed inspiration from the Mitchell Hawks in preparation for their big rematch versus B.C.H.#1. The team was invited to use the Mitchell Hawks Quarters before the game and it motivated them to play three strong periods. Thank you to the Mitchell Hawks for letting our team use your "Hawks Quarters".
Rogan Catalan came to play with strong fore checking he opened the scoring in the first period to give Mitchell a 1 - 0 lead. Bryce Otten denied all shots in the first period keeping BCH of the score sheet. Mitchell then went up 2-0 on a goal by Griffin Bree who found the goalie down and the puck lose. The second period would come to a close with Mitchell in the lead again by one score. In the third, Mitchell would open the scoring with Tyler Scherbarth sending a hard wrist shot into the back of the net. BCH would respond with a goal to make the score 3-2. Shortly after Cohen Ahrens let a hard shot go from the point and Bryce Dixon tipped it, redirecting the puck for Mitchell's 4th of the game. BCH would add a goal to make the game 4-3 with 3:14 left on the clock. BCH would call a time out and pull their goalie to try everything possible to tie the game up. However, Zach Siemon-Hergott would not miss the open net and put the game away at 5-3.
Adding with assists on the 5 goals were Jonah Gibbings and Lucas Mahon with 2 each, Rogan Catalan, Bryce Dixon and Cohen Ahrens would add 1 each.
