Novice LL2 take playoff game victory against Milverton
On Sunday afternoon, the Dodge Caravan kids novice LL 2 team visited Milverton looking for some revenge for an earlier defeat in the round robin playoff round.
The Meteors took the play to the home side early in the game, however strong defence and great goaltending kept the game tied at zeros until Noah Mann was able to fire one past the Drives goalie for a 1-0 lead. Mitchell would find themselves in penalty trouble in he second, however Ben Medhurst would break through the Milverton defence and score the eventual game winner short handed, to give the Meteors a 2-0 lead. Medhurst would add two more goals for the hat trick, and also add an assist to lead all scorers. Mann would add another goal to finish with two. Special mention to the defence of Ethan Dearing, Ethan Meinen, Colby Ryan and call up Preston Porter who kept the Milverton offence in check all game. Keagan Meinen was solid again making several key saves early in the game to keep Milvy off the board.
