Mitchell Novice LL2 take second victory in WOAA finals
On Wednesday night the Novice Dodge Kids Caravan LL2 squad went to Mildmay to face South Bruce in Game 2 of the WOAA Maroon LL finals.

The Meteors were looking to grab a 2-0 series lead, with a chance to win the title here on home ice Sunday.  The first period went back and forth with both teams exchanging chances, and ended 2-2.  The middle frame would see Mitchell score 2 more goals to take a 4-2 lead, however a South Bruce player was pulled down on a breakaway with one second remaining in the period, and  a penalty shot was called.  Keagan "the Wall" Meinen  made a huge save which ended up being the TSN turning point, and the Meteors escaped the second period up 2.  Mitchell would run into penalty trouble at the start of the third and had to kill a 2 minute, 2 man powerplay.  Noah Mann and Ryan Hubbard were instrumental on the kill, actually getting chances of their own.  The Meteors would go up by 3 midway through the third, but  South Bruce would quickly answer.  A three goal cushion would be reinstated with less than five minutes to go, and South Bruce would answer with one late.  The Meteors would happy to escape with a 6-4 win.  Meinen was phenomenal in net, stoping several breakaways and shots in tight, which earned him the coach's toolbelt.  Hubbard threw the team on his back offensively and scored 5 goals and assisted on the sixth.  Darius Ladd added the other goal, while Mann, Payton Wood and Ethan Dearing recorded assists
