Novice 2's defeat Elma Logan in final round robin
On Sunday night the Mitchell Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL2 team finished up their first round with a game against the Elma-Logan Wildcats.

Ben Medhurst fired home a hard wrist shot 43 seconds into the game to get the home side rolling. Ryan Hubbard and Darius Ladd added goals in the first to give the Meteors a 3-0 lead. However, the Wildcats did not roll over. Ben Fizell scored two quick goals, one being off the top bar, to draw the Wildcats within one. With time running out in the first, Trevor Turk broke in off the wing and buried a wrist shot with only 2 seconds remaining in the first. Medhurst and Hubbard each scored again later in the game to finish the scoring. Mitchell 6 Elma Logan 2. Keagan "the Wall" Meinen was his stellar self again, making several key saves, highlighted by yet another glove save. His brother Ethan was awarded the coach's tool belt for hardest worker. Bradley Dearing and Colby Ryan were solid yet again on the point turning aside many Wildcat rushes. Payton Wood added 3 assists, Noah Mann, Ladd and Turk each had two. Hubbard and Lorentz had an assist each. Next up, the Meteors play in the finals against South Bruce, winner hoists the cup! Game one is here in Mitchell tomorrow night at 6:30 pm.
