Novice LL2 capture WOAA title with 50th win of season!
The Dodge Caravan Kids Novice LL2 team captured the WOAA Maroon novice LL title here on home ice Sunday night.

It was the boys best team effort of he season, as the Meteors won 8-2, sweeping South Bruce in three straight games. Mitchell fell behind twice in the first period, before Ryan Hubbard scored late in in the first period to knot things up at two. Noah Mann would score an unassisted goal in the second to put the home side up by one going into third. The Meteors began to feel the championship was in arms length, as they put the pedal down in the third and scored 5 unanswered goals. Noah Mann saved his best game of the season for the deciding game, scoring four goals and adding an assist. Two of Mann's goals were laser beams that found the top corner. Hubbard again gave the Otter's defence fits, as he recorded the hat trick and also added an assist. Darius Ladd had one goal and one assist. Ben Medhurst converted to a checking centreman, and was able to contain South Bruce's top player. Medhurst also recorded two assists, while Ethan Dearing had one. Payton Wood played a strong game defensively helping contain the Otters top line. Trevor Turk and Lincoln Lorentz were forces in the corners all game. The Ministry of Defence, consisting of Colby Ryan, Bradley Dearing, Ethan Meinen and Ethan Dearing, were again rock solid in front of Keagan "the Wall" Meinen. Congratulations boys, all your hard work showed again, and the coaching staff is very proud of your outstanding season!
