The Hoegys Farm Supply Peewee Reps battle Seaforth
Morrison, Eisler and McPhee each score 2 goals for the Meteors in Tuesday nights game against the Seaforth Stars.
Mitchell's Karsen Eisler got things going early with a quick goal in the first shift of the game assisted by Evan Morrison. Eisler's goal sparked the Meteors and each line hit the ice with determination. 5 minutes later Zac McPhee went bardown on the Stars goalie, netting Mitchell's second goal. McPhee wasn't done yet when late in the 1st he pounced on a rebound and put away his second of the game. Meteors defense continued to do a great job on the blue line and kept the Stars off the score sheet. With seconds left in this period Evan Morrison scored unassisted. The Meteors closed out the 1st up by 4. Again the Meteors came out flying starting the 2nd period playing well in both ends of the ice but the Stars netted their first goal of the game at 3:52. Evan Morrison regained Mitchell's 4 goal lead scoring with 1:12 left in the period, McPhee assisted. The Peewee's coasted into the 3rd period and got into penalty trouble. Seaforth proved they weren't going home without a fight and capitalized on the powerplay scoring 2 early period goals that closed the lead, however they got into penalty trouble themselves. Finally Eisler sealed the win with a late goal ending a well deserved 6-3 win.
