Peewee defence got the job done at home, Meteors post a 2-0 win over Kincardine!
The Hoegy’s Farm Supply Meteors stormed the ice anxious
for a win Tuesday night. The 1st period saw chances by both teams and despite a
late 2 man advantage for the Kinucks the game remained scoreless.
Meteors flexed some muscle in the 2nd period and despite 5 penalties Mitchell posted 2 unanswered goals. Meteors Defence controlled the boards in their own end and dominated the blue line in the offensive zone. Mitchell’s first goal came early in the 2nd when Evan Morrison located the puck in front of the net, pulled back and buried it, assisted by Karsen Eisler. At 9:58 in the same period Ben Small made a nice pass out of the corner to defenceman Kyle Richardson who sent a bullet into the net. Bradley Boville continued to take care of business in the 3rd shutting the door on the Kinucks.
