Big Time Rushes
The Tru-Country and Garden Novice 1 girls met the North Middlesex Stars Sunday evening on home ice.
The team came out to play as a whole with strong defensive plays by Jordyn and Alia, pinching in on the blue line and smart passes up to the forwards. Charlee and Ally defended crease helping out our goalie Shawni.
Goal credits go to Claire and Sadie for their big rushes up center ice, controlling the puck the whole way through.
Claire netted and unassisted goal in the first, with Sadie adding the second unassisted goal for Mitchell in the second period. Lauren joined forces with a rush of her own in the third, only to be robbed of a goal by an amazing save by their goalie.
North Middlesex's defense were all over us knocking us off the puck, making a shot difficult. Mitchell came out on top of this one with a score of 2-1. We will meet again later this week, traveling to Parkhill for another tough challenge.
